»Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.«

— Pablo Picasso

Found in the blog post The Importance of Art?, which is very readable for it’s own content, and the following comments.

aphex twin is alive and well at youtube

a warning, in case you hadn’t noticed: some of this stuff is really dark & twisted.

- [windowlicker](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCjwr0YG7ow) - [come to daddy](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Az_7U0-cK0) - [rubber johnny](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJUChQSDmsM) (thoughts of [eraserhead](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eraserhead) come to mind) - flex [pt 1](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnvmcRbiwm8),

- [monkey drummer](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1ZGIrNf71Q)

all of these were by aphex twin & chris cunningham.

and for some comic relief:
visit osama and the family guy, or, even lighter, monty pythons legendary dead parrot sketch!

luis buñuel

just found a nice blog post talking about luis buñuel, the surrealist of film. one of the most, erm …, impressive ones is Un Chien Andalou (1929), which he did together with Salvador Dalí. check out the article for more info and a couple of stills …

Warning: you will see something quite hefty there. if after seeing the first still image you don’t want to see what followed, do not scroll down. they – and she – do show it.
