tian xia wu shuang 2002 (chinese) very good looking at the funny side of ming dynasty china.
"Wonderful hilarious kick ass movie."

last life in the universe

ruang rak noi nid mahasan (thai) very good beautifully photographed, calm movie
starring japanese star tadanobu asano. with a positive end if you ask me. "A suicidal, obsessive-compulsive Japanese librarian is forced to hide out with a pot-smoking Thai woman at her shabby beachside home."

south of the clouds

yun de nan fang (chinese) regular — good a retired, grumpy old man travels to the town where he had always wanted to live when he was young.
But he never went because he had found a wife in his hometown.

turning gate

saenghwalui balgyeon (corean) regular — good excellent, in case you wanted to learn about all the disapoinments love could possibly deliver. no happy end. no happiness, at all.
